Welcome to the Port Coquitlam May Day Festival
The City of Port Coquitlam has been celebrating May Day since 1923. Our community’s modern-day celebration offers more than a week of fun-filled activities and events including May Pole dancing, the Rotary May Day Parade and the Party in the Square with food trucks, live entertainment, outdoor activities and BizAlley.
May Days is going virtual!
This year’s online festivities replaced the iconic annual parade, Party in the Square and other events that draw thousands into downtown Port Coquitlam that were cancelled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The online festivities kicked off on May 6, with performances by local artists and other activities uploaded to the City of Port Coquitlam website leading up to our LIVE online broadcast celebration.
Thank you Port Coquitlam!
A big thank you to our sponsors, community contributors and performing artists for your involvement in our online May Days LIVE Broadcast on May 9th and to everyone that signed on to watch! It was a huge success!
In case you missed it, or would like to view again, see the video of the LIVE event on the Virtual May Days 2020 page.
Thank you to host Mark Friebe from the Giggle Dam, Mayor Brad West, Cllr. Nancy McCurrach, MP Ron McKinnon, May Days Task Force Chair Bob Lee and our incredible performing artists:
